The Minister of Forests and Wildlife, received on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, an FAO delegation led by MrAthman Mravili, FAO Resident Representative in Cameroon. He was accompanied by Mrs. Rosalie Lehel, senior civil servant-Green Climate Fund Unit of FAO in Rome. The exchanges focused mainly on the possibilities of support of this organization in Cameroon in a context of flowering of green funds at the global level.

The FAO, as an executing and supervisory agency, could thus help our country to capitalize as much as possible on the funds promised at the end of COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021, particularly in the agroforestry segment.

Jules Doret Ndongo said he was open to the opportunities thus opened up in an international context often marked by "More declarations and very few concrete actions".

He reiterated his commitment and the willingness of his ministerial department to support the efforts of the FAO whose Resident Representative in Cameroon praised the efforts of our country to maintain itself as the breadbasket of Central Africa.
