MINFOF faces the press

The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Mr. Jules Doret NDONGO, today February 20, 2024 held a press conference in the auditorium of the Mvog-Betsi zoo-botanical garden, flanged by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, sitting in for the minister. The press conference was in a bid to clarify press men and women on the ban on the exportation of wood in the form of logs, the deployment of SIGIF2 as well as the ongoing reforms relating to the forestry and wildlife sub-sectors.

Answering to questions from the media, the minister highlighted the fact that his outing is all about making public the paths that have been traced for the future and for a profound change in primary activities.

In closing his remarks, while thanking the audience who took part in this press conference, he underlined that the idea of transferring activities from the primary sector to the secondary and then the tertiary sectors is based on enormous potentials, generates jobs and involving support from the media and communication specialists.
