Limbé: Inauguration of the Integrated Center for Environmental Education

As a prelude to the work of the Steering Committee of the program for the sustainable management of natural resources in south-west Cameroon (PSMNR), the Minister of Forests and Wildlife, Jules Doret Ndongo inaugurated on Tuesday March 22, 2022 in Limbé the Integrated Center for Environmental Education called integrated Conservation Education Center. This Centre, which is a unit attached to the PSMNR, was built in 1997 as part of the Mount Cameroon Project. The building is an offshoot of the Cameroon/Great Britain bilateral cooperation. Located in the Zoobotanical Garden of Limbé, the Center will promote environmental education to the public with the priority target of young people. The building first housed the CAMCOF (Cameroon Mountain Conservation Foundation) project before being transferred and renovated by the PSMNR in 2019.
